15km Fun Ride
The 15km Fun Ride is a chance for families and occasional cyclists to participate in Melbourne's most unique cycling event.
A great day out for the whole family – for each adult entry received, one child will be able to register and ride for free!
Fun Ride entrants will enjoy:
- An uninterrupted 15km cycle on Melbourne's smoothest road
- A traffic free experience on both carriageways
- A descent and ascent through both 1.6km EastLink Tunnels (an optional detour will be in place if you decide on the day to avoid the tunnels – there will be detour signage and marshals in place on the day)
- An up-close look at EastLink's distinctive urban design and views of Melbourne's east
- A safe and friendly cycling experience
Fun Ride entrants will leave the start line in a controlled stream. You will be fully supported during your ride with medical facilities, rider support vehicle, route marshals.
The Fun Ride is not timed and is not a race. Participants will have a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the course.
The Fun Ride is only open to pre-registered participants – no entries are available on the day.
Accompanied children riding for free in the 15km Fun Ride MUST register with an adult and MUST wear their rider bib.
Children under the age of ten years must participate in an Australian Standards approved bike trailer or ‘tag-a long', and are not charged to participate.
Entry Fee: Adult $35 (with up to one free child entry between 10 and 16 years of age)
Additional children $15
Start Time: 10:15am – 11:00am (entrants will be allocated a start time)
Event Distance: 15km (approx)
Suitability: Family and friends looking for a fun and unique day out! Children must be ten years and older to ride their own bike.
