Simon Gerrans has raced in the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and the Vuelta a España on some of the best cycling roads that Europe has to offer, but now he has the opportunity to ride on the smooth open motorway of Melbourne’s EastLink.

One of Australia’s most successful cyclists and fresh from riding in this year’s Tour de France Sky Team, Simon will be participating in the untimed 75km event amongst the peloton in Gerro’s Personal Challenge.

Alex Morgan

One of Australia’s most promising junior cyclists, youth ambassador Alex Morgan will be riding to support a cause that affects so many young people his age.

The national junior time trial champion and his teammates from Blackburn Cycling Club will be taking on the Team Challenge Time Trial over 75km from Ringwood to Frankston and back.

Shane Wakelin

Former St Kilda and Collingwood footballer Shane Wakelin will be keen to prove he’s still got the fitness he was renowned for throughout his AFL playing career.

After participating in the inaugural Ride for Home last year, Shane loved the event so much he’s back for more! Shane and his colleagues from Deloitte will shed the suits and jump on their bikes in the 75km Team Challenge Time Trial.

Matthew Keenan

Travelling across the globe, expert cycling commentator Matthew Keenan has witnessed some of the world’s greatest riders and cycling events. However this time around Matt will be the one donning a helmet and jumping on the bike, all for the unique opportunity to ride on EastLink and support a worthy cause.

Alan Brough

Most commonly known for his role as team captain on television show Spicks and Specks and from his Sunday morning program on 774 ABC radio, actor and comedian Alan Brough will be performing on a very unique stage this November.

Entered in the 15km Fun Ride, Alan will be Ride for Home’s first virtual participant. How can someone who isn't even in the state ride 15km? Stay tuned to find out.

Nine News Sports Reporter Clint Stanaway has covered the Ashes, Wimbledon, the French Tennis Open and British Open Golf; but this November, Clint will step away from the camera and onto a bike to complete the 15km ride in support of Victorians experiencing homelessness.
