Volunteer
You can be a part of this unique event and help support Hanover to break the cycle of homelessness even if you don’t ride a bike!
Approximately 150 volunteers are required to assist in the successful delivery of the Hanover ConnectEast Ride for Home. You can make a difference and be part of the excitement.
Volunteer roles include:
- Route marshal
- Start/finish marshal
- Site set-up and pack-down crews
- Information guides
Every event volunteer will receive:
- Full pre-event training and a written position description
- An official event t-shirt and hat – yours to keep as a memento
- Lunch and refreshments
- The satisfaction of volunteering their time to help Melbourne’s homeless community
Student Opportunities
This is valuable opportunity for students studying Event Management to experience first-hand a large scale mass participation event, with experiences including start line management, site management, volunteer coordination, marshalling, safety response training and information distribution.
Please note that volunteering on the day will require an early start. Start times vary, but be prepared to set the alarm. However, this is a wonderful opportunity for non-cyclists to be part of one of Melbourne’s premier events, so round up your friends and family and register to volunteer today!
To register your interest, please complete the online volunteer application form or contact Right Angle Events on (03) 9417 7660. We will then work with you to find a volunteering role that suits you best.
